Important Formula Concept

  • All cutting lengths are measured along the centerline of reinforcement.
  • Clear cover must always be deducted from overall dimensions.
  • Standard Hook Length:
    • 90° Hook = 8D to 10D
    • 135° Hook = 10D to 12D
  • Standard Bend Deduction:
    • 45° Bend = 1D
    • 90° Bend = 2D
    • 135° Bend = 3D
    • 180° Bend = 4D
  • IS 2502 and SP-34 should be followed for accurate BBS preparation.
